About Priya Bansal

Thank you for visiting my website! My office is committed to providing you with a superior level of care in a friendly and personalized environment. My practice is dedicated to providing quality healthcare for my patients with pleasant surroundings in a state-of-the-art facility. I am proud of the relationships that I have established with my patients and I am especially honored that many patients have referred their friends and relatives to me. I am focused on maintaining your trust and confidence and I look forward establishing lasting relationships with every patient I meet.

Dedicated to Excellence

I hold myself to an extremely high-level of excellence in every aspect of my practice. This includes the care I provide, the equipment that I use, the health and safety protocols that I follow, and the incidental services that I offer. Above all, my aim is to provide each of my patients with an optimal experience.

I have a firm belief in using a comprehensive approach to my patients where each piece of a patient's past and present illness or symptoms are a part of the whole, bigger picture. The ultimate goal is to get the patient feeling like themselves again.

I specialize in novel, innovative therapeutics with food allergy, allergic rhinitis, asthma, urticaria (hives), chronic sinusitis, eosinophilic esophagitis, medication allergy, immune system disorders, and angioedema (swelling) which is hereditary and acquired. I also treat patients with Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD) via a procedure to desensitize aspirin to reduce sinus infections and asthma exacerbations. I utilize Xolair, Nucala, Fasenra, Dupixent and Cinqair and am familiar with the new biologics entering the market to provide the latest medical advances for patients.

Experienced Healthcare Provider

I grew up in the Chicagoland area and attended a six-year BS/MD program with Penn State University and Thomas Jefferson Medical School. I completed residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at University of Illinois in Chicago and was board certified in both specialties. I then went on to complete a fellowship at Rush University Medical Center and became board certified in Allergy and Immunology.

I am active in my specialty with both cutting edge treatment and in past and active leadership positions. I am currently serving on the COVID 19 Taskforce and Chairperson of the Practice Management Committee for the AAAAI. I was past president for the Illinois Society of Allergy, past RSLAAIS governor for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) and past Chairperson of the Health Informatics, Technology, and Education Committee for the AAAAI.  On top of my leadership positions, I enjoy volunteering and advocating for educating the members of the community on a variety of allergy, asthma and immunology topics.

The Importance of Patient Education

I strongly believe that patient education is an important part of the services I provide. In addition to talking with patients during exams and throughout the course of treatment regimens, I have provided extensive information on the conditions, treatments and procedures relating to Allergy and Immunology.

This clinical information has been written with you -- the patient -- in mind and includes graphical illustrations and photographs. It can be printed in an easy-to-read layout on your home printer. I encourage patients to read about conditions and treatments that affect them and I eagerly invite you to ask questions. Thank you for choosing me to be your health care provider.
